Writer Parlays

Why PARLAY instead of PARLEY? Good question. Let us tell you:

The term parlay is usually used to describe where one leverages their current assets to increase wealth or gains. However, It can also extend to situations where an individual takes advantage of an opportunity to advance in something else, such as a writing career.

On the other hand, the term parley is used when talking about a formal conversation, especially between opposing sides an argument. It can be applied in a broader sense, too, when individuals engage in discussions aimed at reaching an agreement.

Here’s the thing: as writers, we shouldn’t be viewing each other as competition or on opposing sides. Hence, the Writer Parlays are designed to be an opportunity to increase the knowledge you already have and/or give you an opportunity to learn alongside experienced authors.

Stay tuned for additional parlays and meeting times as they potentially become available!
